Best paper awards
A Best Paper Award competition will be organized by each Technical Committee of Acoustics’08 Paris. It is open to students.
Qualifications:
- Any student may have his or her paper or poster entered for an award.
- A student is anyone who is at least a half-time in a student capacity, currently or within one year from July 2007.
- The student must be listed as the first author on a paper or poster to be presented at the meeting.
- The student must present the paper or poster at the meeting.
Submitting Paper or Poster:
When the abstract is submitted for the meeting the submitter should use the option on the web site for The Best Paper Award for Students, indicating that the abstract should be entered for an award. Please note that abstracts for the meeting can only be submitted via the Acoustics’08 Paris website.
Selection:
Each Technical Area uses a subcommittee to review the papers or posters at the meeting and to select the “Best Papers” based both on content and presentation. Following the meeting winners will be announced in ECHOES (ASA’s Newsletter) and on the Student Zone website. Winners (up to two per Technical Area) will receive cash prizes
